West Bromwich Albion are bracing for a new bid from Burnley for defender Craig Dawson.

The Express & Star says the Clarets are determined to land Dawson before their return to top-flight action and are believed to be preparing a new bid of around £2m that could be lodged as early as today.

The player remains keen to move to Turf Moor.

He has had a transfer request rejected and the Clarets had an initial £1m offer turned down.
