West Brom ease past Derby to go top of Championship

West Bromwich Albion claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Derby County to go top of the Championship.

Albion are determined to earn promotion through the first two places, or as champions.

And they did their quest no harm by clinching three points at home against an in form Derby side.

Grady Diangana got his second goal in two games to give them an early lead.

Then Dara O'Shea's second-half header got all three points sewn up for Slaven Bilic's team.

Derby struggled and did not manage a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.

They also lost Louie Sibley to a red card in stoppage time after an off ball incident with goalscorer O'Shea.
