West Bromwich Albion technical director Nick Hammond has extended an invitation to Saido Berahino to stay with the club.
The 22-year-old striker continues to be linked with Tottenham and Stoke City but the Baggies are hoping he stays put at The Hawthorns after developing with the West Midlands club since he was an 11-year-old.
"I've had conversations with him and have been very impressed with him as an individual," said Hammond.
"I like him a lot and think he's a top player. I told him clearly I'd love him to be at the football club next season.
"He's a very talented individual, he's a good age, he's a home-grown academy player.
"He's the type of player I'd love to be here next year."
