West Bromwich Albion are desperate to secure the signing of want-away Manchester United defender Johnny Evans before the closure of the transfer window.
Baggies manager Tony Pulis is a fan of Evans with the player's ex-teammate Darren Fletcher reportedly convinced the Northern Irish defender to join him at The Hawthorns according to the Daily Mail.
The Baggies were quoted a fee of £10million for Evans in May, but both clubs are willing to start negotiations over a possible deal with some reports suggesting United want closer to £12m.
Evans, who has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal, has also been courted by Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
The 27-year-old has won three Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup during the course of his career with United.
