James Chester has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson will be backing Wales at this summer's European Championships.

The Manchester United academy graduate bumped into the Red Devils legend when West Bromwich Albion played United at The Hawthorns last season and suggests that the Scottish great will be barracking for the Dragons at Euro2016.

"I saw him at West Brom when we played United which was nice," said Wales defender Chester.

"He told me how pleased he was to see me doing well and that I'd played well that day.

"He'll be cheering on Wales!"

Wales are up against England, Russia and Slovakia in Group B of the UEFA tournament which kicks off in France next weekend.
