West Brom are continuing talks with QPR for Matt Phillips.
The Express & Star says it's understood the first offer the Baggies made for the winger was £3.5m up front with add-ons for appearances making it up to a potential £4m.
Although Rangers are willing to sell the 25-year-old this summer, negotiations are still ongoing.
It's understood Phillips is keen to move to The Hawthorns and get back into the Premier League, and the Baggies are willing to meet or improve his current salary of £25,000 a week.
The winger has been a long-term target for head coach Tony Pulis but Albion are still keeping their options open.
