West Brom captain Jonny Evans hopes to join Manchester City this summer.

The Mirror says Evans has played his last game for relegated West Brom and is holding out for a switch to champions Manchester City.

Albion's Northern Ireland international and club captain is now certain to leave The Hawthorns on a bargain £3million release clause.

He didn't start once under Darren Moore and told the Albion caretaker he was unavailable to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Evans, who had trained up until Friday, told Moore the day before 2-0 loss in conversations which the club insist were amicable following their relegation earlier in the week.
