West Brom manager Tony Pulis says academy boss Steve Hopcroft is yet to leave for Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club met with Hopcroft earlier this week and made the Baggies stalwart an offer to head their talent recruitment. But Pulis is remaining positive he will stay put.

"I had a chat with Steve on Thursday," he said. "He has been made an offer by Manchester United but the club are trying to do the best they possibly can to keep him here.

"It would be a massive miss if he goes because he has brought some unbelievable talent into this club."
