Tony Mowbray has indicated that Luke Moore's future may lie away West Bromwich Albion at the end of the season. The 23 year old striker, who signed a three-year contract at the Hawthorns last summer after joining permanently from Aston Villa, has stared just five games in the top flight.
"I don't know," Mowbray told the Express & Star when asked if Moore was part of his long-term plans. "That's down to Luke and his advisors. What I would suggest is that Luke would have liked to have played more than he has.
"But I only pick players on what I see with my eyes. There is no agenda on any player. Luke Moore is our player and he has got to work hard in training every day.
"When he gets an opportunity on the field he has got to work hard to try and maintain a place in the team.
"The team gets picked on performance levels and the options around it. If people are not doing the job that is asked of them then they don't play.
"Sometimes players out of the team, in the eyes of some people, can be a better option even though they're not out there doing it.
"I pick it as I see with my eye in training every day or reserve fixtures. I pick on performances and not just what the supporters see on a Saturday afternoon."
