West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson has explained recalling James Hurst from his loan with Chesterfield.
Hurst has returned to The Hawthorns as defensive cover following injuries to Steven Reid (ankle) and Liam Ridgewell (knee).
"Hurst has been called back with a view to being included in the squad," said Hodgson.
"We don't have many back players at the moment."
