West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo is hoping to have money to spend for strengthening the Baggies squad during the January transfer window. The Baggies currently lead the race for automatic promotion and are the highest scorers in the second tier.
He said: "I have asked for some money. Will I get it? Let's wait and see, but I have asked.
"We have a number of targets but we will see how we are in January. We still have seven more games to play before then - but that's what we are hoping, to improve the squad.
"I am not thinking or planning for next season. When I'm asking to improve the squad, I'm thinking about this season.
"The moment you think you are too good for this division, you are going to get punished as soon as you lower your guard."
