Salomon Rondon will be a quality player for West Bromwich Albion when he fully settles in England.
That is the sentiment of Baggies boss Tony Pulis who was delighted to see the £12million club record summer signing score the winner in Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over Bristol City in the third round replay of the FA Cup.
Venezuela international Rondon has netted just four goals for Albion since arriving from Zenit Saint Petersburg but Pulis is backing him to score on a more regular basis as his time at The Hawthorns progresses.
"Salomon's going to be a very good player," Pulis said.
"He started well and he's missed chances he would say he should score normally. But he's found it difficult, the intensity of every game.
"Every game in the Premier League is so intense, whereas the countries he's played in before have not had that intensity.
"So we have to be patient. The players love him because he works so hard and he's such a genuine kid.
"You could see by the celebration how much they think of him and how pleased they were that he got the goal."
