West Brom boss Allardyce eyeing Newcastle centre-forward Carroll

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce is eyeing Newcastle United centre-forward Andy Carroll.

Allardyce has only just taken charge of the Baggies and is eager to add to his squad next month,

And The Sun says among the names being considered is former England international Carroll.

Carroll has been involved with the Toon this season, playing seven times in the Premier League, but isn't considered a first-choice by manager Steve Bruce.

Allardyce is ready to gamble on Carroll's fitness to bring him to the Hawthorns for the second-half of the season.
