West Brom midfielder Robert Koren claimed he has asked for a January transfer. The 29-year-old is in his fourth season at The Hawthorns but is unhappy at his lack of regular football in his preferred central midfield role.

The Slovenia captain was quoted in the Express and Star: "I never got a chance in the centre but always in a wing position. This was from the outset of the season after the arrival of the new coach. Even in friendly matches I never got the opportunity in the middle."
