Werder Bremen urged to sign Liverpool outcast Karius by ex-Germany No1

Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese insists Liverpool outcast Loris Karius still has plenty to offer.

Having failed to make a single first-team appearance for the Reds in nearly four years, Karius' time at Anfield is nearing its conclusion.

Wiese, who retired as a footballer in 2017 and is now a professional wrestler by the name The Machine, believes that his old club Werder Bremen should sign Karius.

“In the top flight, the club would have to look for a seasoned keeper," Wiese told BILD. “For me, Loris Karius would be one for Werder.

“He's a free transfer, hasn't played for a long time. But, in Mainz, he showed what he's capable of.

“He's got quality, otherwise Liverpool wouldn't have signed him."
