Werder Bremen rule out selling Aston Villa target Rashica

Werder Bremen are not in the mood to sell winger Milot Rashica in the January transfer window.

The attacker was tipped to sign for a Premier League club, namely Aston Villa, in the summer.

But no more materialised, and now it appears Bremen do not want to lose him midseason.

The club's sporting director Frank Baumann has told BILD that no one is leaving in January.

"I would rule out (any of our players) leaving in winter," Baumann said.

Rashica, who is 24, has only played five games this season, but is working his way to full fitness after a knee problem.
