Jannik Vestergaard has denied claims that he is set to join Everton this summer.

The 22-year old Werder Bremen defender has been linked with a possible move to Goodison Park but insists that he is set to remain at the Weserstadion at least for another season.

"I do not know a thing about this rumour," the two-time Denmark international told Bild.

"For me the most important is playing regular first-team football. I am doing so at Werder Bremen. And I am going to be around at this club also next season."
