Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt says if Thomas Delaney is to leave, it should happen before the World Cup.

The Denmark midfielder is interesting Brighton and Everton ahead of the summer market.

Kohfeldt told BILD: "If he returns after the World Cup in July, I expect clarity, until then it has to be decided whether he will stay or leave.

"He's just coming to terms with what he's supposed to do, he feels good, he's registering that something is happening at Werder, but he has only one career and needs to see if he can fulfill his career goals here."
