Werder Bremen have hit a road-block with Manchester United over hopes of signing Tahith Chong.
Werder are eager to take the Dutch youngster on-loan for the new season - with the deal having the approval of United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, BILD says United's insistence that Werder cover 100 per cent of Chong's €2.8m salary has been rejected.
Werder management are insisting they simply cannot afford such a demand and are urging United to rethink their position.
For their part, Werder are insisting Chong will be a regular starter, where they see him as an ideal replacement for wantaway striker Milot Rashica.
