Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hasn't dropped his pursuit of Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.
The Daily Express says N'Zonzi who is rated at £30million by Spanish outfit Sevilla has emerged as the Gunners' number one target for the January transfer window.
N'Zonzi said he wanted to quit the club after falling out with Eduardo Berizzo after a 3-3 Champions League draw with Liverpool.
But Berizzo was sacked last week after having just recovered from an operation for cancer meaning that N'Zonzi's future might not be as clear cut as it once appeared.
Italian giants Juventus, like Arsenal boss Wenger, have been long-term suitors for N'Zonzi and are also keen to take him to Italy before the window closes.
The Frenchman was in England last week, fueling reports of a meeting with Gunners officials.
