Wenger expects Arsenal to bounce back against Liverpool

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger goes to Liverpool on Tuesday night expecting his players to have recovered from the disappointment of their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea at Wembley. The Gunners travel to Anfield looking to extend their 18-match unbeaten record in the Barclays Premier League.

Wenger maintained: "We have shown we are mentally strong in adversity this season, and now again we have another good opportunity to show it.

"We want to finish strongly in the Premier League and also qualify for the Champions League final."

Wenger added: "We are in the last four in Europe, we have just played in the semi-final of the FA Cup, where Chelsea's average age was 29 - ours is 21 or 22.

"I believe we are maturing well.

"These guys are winners. Now we need a good performance on Tuesday."
