Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has questioned whether Sunday's Manchester United protests represented all the support.
The proposed Super League plans appear to have bought things to a head and fans are now calling for the Americans to sell the club.
Wenger though, who dealt with fan protests whilst in charge at Arsenal, insists it must be determined whether the protests represent the majority of fans.
He said on Bein Sports: "First of all you always have to know whether this is the majority.
"We live in a society where the protesters aren't always the majority.
"The media only consider the minority of protesters.
"I would say as a football fan I was against the Super League project because it ignores what makes football great."
