Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels this season's team can win the title.

Wenger was in charge for the last time the north London club finished top of the pile in England. That time around, Arsenal went the entire season unbeaten.

They would likely have to beat the 90 points they managed in that campaign to finish above Manchester City. Wenger returned to the Emirates for the first time since his exit in 2018 for the 3-1 victory against the Hammers.

He was impressed with what he saw and is sure a title challenge could be on the cards. Wenger told Norwegian outlet TV2: "It was a fantastic performance.

"Arsenal is getting stronger and stronger. It was a one-way street.

"I think they have all the necessary ingredients, both tactically and mentally. They can go all the way. Because, as you can see, they create so many chances. I don't really see any weaknesses."
