Wellington Phoenix v Brisbane Roar preview

Brisbane Roar have not been beaten in seven matches making this a very tough fixture for the Wellington Phoenix.

But on the flipside, the New Zealanders are going for the 25th match unbeaten at Westpac Stadium which makes the Roar's trip a huge challenge.

Recent form suggests the Roar should have this covered but the Phoenix grow a leg in front of their home fans and will be fresh after having a week off last week.

New Zealand international Simon Elliott comes into the squad for Wellington and his experience will be vital against a Roar midfield which boasts the in-form Thomas Broich, captain Matt McKay and Erik Paartalu.

This is an extremely tough contest in which to pick a winner with Brisbane's recent hatred of losing and Wellington's reluctance to miss out on points at home making a draw the only viable option.

Verdict: 2-2 draw
