Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that after an impressive 4-0 win against Stoke City in April, he believed that his players could win last season's Premier League title.
However, Spurs failed to win any of the following four games and eventually finished in the third position in what was a disappointing late-season slip-up.
Ahead of Saturday's trip to the Potteries, the Spurs boss said: "After our performance and our win, a fantastic 4-0, we all believed it would be possible to win the league, yes.
"But one thing is to believe and another is to deliver and win games.
"It is true that after Stoke City we felt it was possible - difficult, but possible."
