Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke admits turning down Chelsea in a past attempt for Robert Lewandowski.
Watzke has revealed how the club missed out on the signing of Kevin De Bruyne because Lewandowski turned down a move to Chelsea.
De Bruyne is now a star with VfL Wolfsburg, while Lewandowski is with Bayern Munich.
Watzke told BILD: "It [signing De Bruyne] would have fitted well into the planning.
"But the conditions could not be agreed. Chelsea were unwilling to let him go because they were angry that Robert Lewandowski had not gone to Chelsea."
