Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce plans to appoint Dave Watson as new youth team chief.

The Mirror says Watson and Bruce played together at Norwich City at the start of their careers and are now set to work together at the JJB.

Since taking control at Latics, Bruce has recruited a handful of other allies as he turns around the club's Premier League fortunes.
