Watford winger Steven Berghuis hopes to stay with Feyenoord.

The Holland international is on a straight loan at Feyenoord this season.

The 25-year-old believes he has shown his true quality while back in his homeland and would, therefore, be happy to remain at Feyenoord.

“I'm open to a longer stay and the Feyenoord club is exactly the same," Berghuis told Algemeen Dagblad.

“I do not want to fall back to a season where I possibly will play very little, like in my first year in the Premier League. All of that was extreme.

“I feel I've done very well here. This is what Steven Berghuis can do. My confidence is huge. I've said before that I have a wide smile every day at De Kuip (Feyenoord's stadium). I want that next season."
