Watford winger Deulofeu delighted to break winless streak

Gerard Deulofeu has admitted at his relief that Watford managed to end their winless run.

The Hornets ended a run of six games without a win by besting Cardiff on Saturday.

It was tough out there for the players in freezing conditions, but they managed to hold on for an impressive win in an entertaining game.

Speaking to the club website, Deulofeu said: "It was terrible, the cold. We are so happy for getting the three points.

"I'm really happy to score and to help my team. I have to continue like this, scoring, but the team was really good. You will see here in the Premier League you have to continue for 90 minutes.

"After Cardiff pushed and got to 3-1 and then 3-2, I am happy that we managed to take the three points. The most important thing is the three points because it had been a long period without that."
