Watford and Southampton played out a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road on Sunday.
Quique Sanchez Flores' Hornets had the better of the chances in Hertfordshire but Odion Ighalo and Etienne Capoue were unable to hit the back of the net as both teams continue to look for their first win of the Premier League season.
The draw leaves Ronald Koeman's Saints sitting 18th on the table with two points with Watford occupying 12th having drawn all three of their fixtures upon their return to the top flight.

QUOTES CORNER
Southampton's Koeman in the importance of a clean sheet:
"You like to win but after five goals conceded a clean sheet was something to chase," Koeman said.
"We have had to make a lot of changes defensively since the start of the season so that was a positive."
Watford boss Flores on his side's missed opportunities:
"We had a very good chance in the first half with Ighalo and we had a good chance in the second half with Capoue. But it's football."
