Premier League new boys Watford have been given a boost ahead of the upcoming season, with reports suggesting the Hornets are set to add Tottenham midfielder Benjamin Stambouli to its squad.
Watford has already signed Etienne Capoue from Spurs this summer, and the Daily Mirror is now reporting that Stambouli will follow his former teammate to Vicarge Road, with a £4million deal to be completed by the end of the week.
Stambouli, 24, signed for Tottenham from Montpellier for an undisclosed fee last summer, but made just 12 appearances after Mauricio Pochettino replaced Tim Sherwood as manager at the North London club.
He would be Watford's eighth signing of the transfer window thus far.
