Watford playmaker Fabbrini, dubbed the ‘The Boro Maradona’, lights up Riverside

Diego Fabbrini continued his fine start to the season on the weekend, scoring a goal and assisting for two others as Middlesbrough cruised to a 3-0 win over Bolton.

The on-loan Watford playmaker impressed in games against Preston North End and Oldham Athletic last week, and continued his hot streak with a tremendous long range goal to open the scoring at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

Fabbrini's Boro' teammate Albert Adamoah revealed during the week the Italian has already earned himself a nickname at his new club.

"Diego Maradona? He's unbelievable," said Adamoah.

"That's my nickname for him. Diego is so skilful, and if you give him a chance he's so clever and will create chances for the team.

"Sometimes it may look like he's being selfish, but he's still taking two or three players out of the game. He's entertaining but (also) doing hard work creating chances - he's not just showboating for the sake of it."
