Watford place four Colombians at Real Valladolid, but takeover offer denied

Real Valladolid president Carlos Suarez has played down claims of selling up to Watford owners, the Pozzo family.

AS says the Italian family, who owned Granada until 2016 and still control Watford and Udinese, visited Valladolid in early July to cast an eye over the club's facilities.

That visit took place after four Colombian players joined Valladolid's feeder club, which plays in Segunda B, on loan from Watford.

Sulayman Marrah has also joined Valladolid's first team on loan from the Premier League outfit.

Speaking from Valladolid's pre-season training camp on the Costa del Sol on Thursday, Carlos Suárez categorically denied any type of negotiation, or contact of that nature, with the Pozzo family.

For the moment, it appears that a steady flow of players from North London is the only form of collaboration between Valladolid and the Pozzos family.
