Watford on brink of triple defensive signing

Nice left wing back Hassane Kamara is close to moving to Watford.

The Daily Mail says Watford are close to agreeing a £4million deal for Kamara, a 27-year old Ivory Coast international, and are also signing KAS Eupen defensive midfielder Edo Kayembe, 23.

Claudio Ranieri also expects to bring in vastly experienced Croatia international defender Domagoj Vida, 32, from Besiktas.

Watford had also asked about Arsenal's Sead Kolasinac but have opted against that deal to keep other domestic loan options open.

They opened discussions about Kamara last month and know him from previous recruitment discussions when they tried to sign him from Reims prior to his move to Nice.

Kamara is not involved in the African Cup of Nations.
