Watford News: Richarlison attracts China offer; Ighalo says Silva must not leave

Watford sensation Richarlison is attracting interest from China.

The Brazilian youngster, who only joined Watford over the summer from Fluminense, is interesting Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Watford Observer says a big-money offer from China is also emerging for the 20-year-old starlet.

Several unnamed clubs from the Far East have contacted owner Gino Pozzo with prospects of a significant bounty to swap for the Brazilian forward.

But with one of the hottest young talents in the Premier League on their hands, the Watford owner is determined to keep hold of his prized asset and allow him to flourish at Vicarage Road.

Meanwhile, former Hornets striker Odion Ighalo is confident they can keep hold of manager Marco Silva.

Silva remains a target for Everton

"I like the way the team is playing now they work together," Ighalo, now with Changchun Yatai, was commentating on Watford's win over West Ham.

"You have to be ready to run - there are no lazy players in that team."

He was in no doubt how harmful a managerial change could be, too.

[It would be a] very bad time now," Ighalo admitted.

"The season has just started it will be difficult for them to allow him to go because you have to bring a new manager again, start building new tactics, start building again with different shape and that is difficult.

"He's very good at managing the team and I don't think they will allow him to go."
