Watford News: Okaka still wants out; Deulofeu confident staying up

Watford boss Javi Gracia admits Stefano Okaka still wants to leave, despite the market now shut.

Gracia says Okaka's future lies out of his hands, despite being impressed by the burly centre-forward.

“I think he is looking for other clubs. That's all I can say," Gracia said. “Stefano Okaka, for me, is a very good person and a good player. I don't know the situation and it doesn't depend on me.

“I'm waiting to see what will happen with Okaka. I don't know if he'll move or stay. We will see what will happen."

Meanwhile, new signing Gerard Deulofeu is confident Watford will beat the drop.

The on-loan Barcelona winger stated: “Yes [Watford are good enough to stay up]. I know maybe it's not the same type of player as Barcelona, but I have to adapt to my new team mates.

“I know we are in 11th position and that is too close. We have to work hard and win games. The last game against Stoke is a good point.

“We could have had three, but that is ok. We have to play in the Premier League and it is such a competitive, aggressive league. I don't care that it is so close, it is not a problem."
