Watford midfielder Will Hughes said his side can match anyone in the Premier League.

The Hornets have proven their early season credentials, winning four of their opening four games.

A 100 percent record is an impressive start, as was their 2-1 win over Tottenham at home before the international break.

Next up is another home game, this time against Manchester United. And Hughes cannot wait.

"I think at home we are a match for anyone," he said to the club website.

"We've shown that with our record since the gaffer's been here.

"We're not afraid – you've got to respect teams when they come here, especially the 'big six' – but at the same time you can't be too wary because you've got to get about them and put pressure on. I think we did that.

"Against such a top side when you go 1-0 down, people could get their heads down and everyone expects them to go on and win the game, but the boys showed real character.

"As soon as we got that equaliser it gave everyone a lift and the real belief that not only could we draw the game, but that we could go on and win it."
