Watford midfielder Gerard Deulofeu is being linked with a return to AC Milan.

Milan are ready to make a move to take Deulofeu back to the San Siro before the transfer window closes on Thursday, says the Mirror.

The Spanish international has emerged as a shock target for Milan who signed him on loan from Everton two years ago.

The Hornets signed Deulofeu on loan last January before making his move from Barcelona permanent in the summer for around £10 million.

Milan are looking to strengthen their midfield before the transfer window closes and believe that Deulofeu is within their budget.
