Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue signs new contract

Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue has signed a new contract.

Capoue has been rewarded for reviving his Watford career with a new four-year contract.

The French midfielder, briefly the Hornets' record signing when he moved from Tottenham for £5.6 million in 2015, has scored 10 goals in 92 appearances for the club, and his improved deal will keep him at Vicarage Road until June 2022.

Watford manager Javi Gracia said: “For us, Capoue is a very important player, not only because he is doing a very good job but he has a good attitude and he gives us balance in midfield."
