Watford midfielder Cleverley happy Solskjaer in charge of Man Utd

Watford midfielder Tom Cleverley is happy seeing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge at Manchester United.

Cleverley was a youngster at United when he encountered Solskjaer for the first time, with the striker taking the younger age groups as part of his work towards his coaching badges.

When the time came to play under him, Cleverley immediately felt that he what it took to be a successful coach or manager.

"He's a nice guy and a real friendly character around the place. You could speak to him, you could ask him advice and he just seemed a natural coach," he said before yesterday's FA Cup defeat.

"I think I can remember him doing his badges and he even took my age group for that when I was really young.

"But at the time he was just brilliant, brilliant for our strikers as well because he was probably one of the best finishers Man United have ever seen.

"So I'm just really pleased for him that it's working out for him there."

He also told the Manchester Evening News: "I don't know the work on the training pitch but their attacking unit is fantastic.

"Even watching Rashford's movement on Wednesday, he didn't receive a lot of the balls but he's running in behind and looking to hurt teams at all times and I'm sure that Ole has got that in his game.

"They have a frightening attacking unit and it looks like Ole is coaching them well."
