Watford midfield Capoue reveals Pearson pep-talk during Crystal Palace draw

Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue admits the squad have spoken to their new manager Nigel Pearson.

The Hornets were unable to get a much needed win at home against Crystal Palace.

But they did get a draw, which helps in their fight for survival.

New boss Pearson will take charge of the team from Monday, but he already spoke with the players.

New Watford manager Nigel Pearson called for passion from his new charges as he addressed the squad before taking his seat in the stands for the clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"He came before the kick-off and said play with the passion," revealed Capoue to reporters after the game.

"Enjoy it and win. It is all about winning no matter how you do it. We were unlucky today but we almost did it.

"We are very confident in the club, if they sign him it is for a reason. So we are 100 per cent with Nigel.

"He is going to start tomorrow and we are going to follow his ideas because I think the club deserves to stay in the Premier League."
