Watford management have rubbished claims of interest from Liverpool for Ismaila Sarr.

Watford believe they are in a strong position to retain Sarr, despite rumours linking him with a move to Anfield.

Sarr has been a long-term target for Klopp and he made his interest known to the Hornets after their relegation in 2020.

Recent reports have suggested Liverpool could make a fresh approach for the forward, but the Watford Observer suggest that is wide of the mark.

Sarr's agent talked up Liverpool's interest last summer, but it's understood claims of the Reds still being keen are unfounded.
