Watford have lodged an offer with Juventus for Stefano Sturaro.

Sturaro has been linked with several Premier League clubs this summer, but Juve's terms have proved too rich.

However, Watford have now come forward with an offer to take Sturaro on a straight loan. The Hornets are prepared to take him without a permanent option.

Juve and Sturaro are today mulling over the proposal.

Watford are in the market for a midfielder today and have also tabled €20m to Lille for Thiago Maia.
