Watford have launched a bid for AS Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

Despite just one season in Italy, Roma are prepared to sell the Sweden international this summer.

Corriere dello Sport says Watford have already opened talks and offered €8.5m for Olsen.

Roma will push Watford to go higher with 10 per cent of any fee due to Olsen's former club FC Copenhagen.

Olsen would arrive at Vicarage Road to replace Heurelho Gomes, who is retiring at the end of the season.
