Watford are interested in acquiring the out of favour midfielder Didier Ndong from Sunderland in the January transfer window.
Manager Marco Silva wants to strengthen his Watford side, and he sees Ndong as a player that could give the club much needed depth in the central midfield position.
Ndong would cost around £8 million, but he should not be difficult to obtain given his lack of playing time at the Stadium of Light.
Injuries to Nathaniel Chalobah and Will Hughes are also a big reason why Silva is keen to sign Ndong.
