Former Atletico Madrid boss Quique Sanchez Flores has signed a two-year deal to become the new Watford head coach reports Sky Sports.
Spaniard Flores, 50, guided Atletico Madrid to the Europa League title in 2010 with a win over Fulham in the final, as well as having coaching spells in Portugal with Benfica and more recently with Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
Flores will replace Slavisa Jokanovic, whose current deal expires at the end of June. Jokanovic led the club to the Premier League after taking over at Vicarage Road in October but declined a contract extension after the club refused to meet his wage demands of £2.5million.
