Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes plans to become pastor - and agent!

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes plans to become a pastor - and an agent - when he retires.

Gomes's involvement in football is likely to be as an agent after he revealed that coaching doesn't appeal, partly because it wouldn't give him the time to be a pastor.

The former Brazil international also has experience being an agent already, seeing as he brokered his last contract extension with Watford in 2017 himself.

He said: “I think I will be good at helping players, to bring the right players to the right clubs in Europe.

“I played in Germany, I played in Holland, I played here for a long time, so I know the kind of players that clubs need. I can bring the right players to them.

“When I used to speak to young players in Brazil, their parents see me and they know my history in England and Europe. They say, 'Oh please, help him. You are the right person'."
