Watford keeper Gomes vows to fight for place in 'last season'

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has admitted this season will be his last, but hasn't given up hope of displacing Ben Foster.

The Brazilian has made 148 appearances in four years at Vicarage Road. But at 37, he says this season will be his last in football.

"I will try to push hard but Ben is doing so well that is very difficult to get in over him," Gomes told Sky Sports.

"I am glad as well because I lost my place to a good goalkeeper.

"This will probably be my last season."
