Watford keeper Gomes names top club in London…

Tottenham have overtaken Arsenal and are now the best club in London, according to Watford and former Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes, reports the London Evening Standard.

Despite the impressive way his side were heavily defeated last weekend by Arsenal, the 35 year old is not convinced that Arsene Wenger's side are the best in the capital, whilst maintaining his previous comments about the club were not what he meant.

"I was misunderstood by the English press in the way they wrote the story. They said I called Arsenal a small team. I never said that. I said that perhaps the way Arsenal played was that way. I think because I played for Tottenham they wanted to put spice in the interview.

"For me, the best London team now is Tottenham. They are having a great season, they're having a great season, [they are] a team that are not afraid to play. Mauricio Pochettino has put together a young team, who build up plays with the keeper.

"[It is] something totally different than where we were playing. I think the title is between them and Leicester."
