Watford keen on Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott

Watford are keen on Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott.

The Mirror says the 18-year-old impressed in the Championship on loan at Blackburn last season, ending the campaign with seven goals and 11 assists.

That return included a goal against Watford at Ewood Park in February and the Hornets are now keen to take him as they strengthen their attacking options after winning promotion.

Elliott will report back to Liverpool for pre-season but boss Jurgen Klopp is yet to decide what to do with the England age-group international.

One option is to send him out on loan to a fellow top-flight side to build on the experience he gained in tier two last time out.

There are high hopes that Elliott will become a star at Anfield but unless he will get sufficient game time next season then Klopp will look to send him out again.

That is opening the door for Watford, with several other clubs also registering an interest in taking him for a year.
